MAGIC OF KINDNESS

“Kindness, a word holding the power to change the world,
Kindness, an act possessing the key to word peace,
Kindness, in our eyes leading humanity to prosperity,
Kindness, deconstructing pain from the entity of the needy.”

The word kindness is nothing new to people like you and I for we teach our kids about  kindness from the very beginning, as back as your memory goes you might remember being taught of greeting your elders  or taught of sharing things with your classmates at schools as well as at your own house. To be put in simple words, the word kindness has been following us like a shadow thus one might think that if we have always been taught what kindness is and how to practice it we might know it like the back of our hands, we might spread the feeling and make the world a better place, we might know how it feels to be a  generous giver  or to be the one who got that goodwill but somehow in the gist of the moment the feeling has ceased and all we remember is the word kindness in theory. We all remember the stories of people with golden heart sacrificing and saving lives or that one boy helping an old lady cross the street on a snowy day but how many times have we ourselves stepped up while putting our interests on hold for a second and truly helped someone.

If we ask someone what is kindness we might get some words back like being nice or being generous but what is kindness truly about?

Well isn’t kindness about passing a smile to a stranger in hope of making their day better or helping someone out with the expectation of the same when you are in need. Kindness goes from small acts like spending time helping your own family to spending money on charity. Before being kind or helping someone if there comes a moment when you think why should I do this, what’s in it for me, pause your train of thoughts for a moment and think how would it feel like to be the one who needs help, the one who is suffering and after that if you still have the same thought then don’t do it because the act that is pressurized is not kindness but a show of power.

It’s high time to bring out the kindness that we have been keeping hidden for so many years, we as normal citizens can start with acts while big organizations like UNESCO are taking their own steps. A global campaign under the name of #KINDESS MATTERS was launched by UNESCO MGIEP which has the sole purpose to mobilize young minds to be kind and compassionate with their transformative acts of kindness. This campaign is supported by the action of private committee of private unaided school; many schools all around the world are supporting and advocating the feeling of kindness so why would we be left behind. The team of MELANGE started their campaign from releasing a new volume of STRESS BUSTERS based on the same topic and soon will be bringing out new fun webinars and workshops to endorse and explicate the idea of kindness and peace.

The world organizations are working, schools are working but what shall we do? Believe me when I say small initiatives can bring massive change in the society, for try to help someone when no one is or maybe even plant a tree because that one lending hand can patronize someone’s life that one seed you planted can give shade to many of the upcoming generations.  Life is not all about giving cause what you give today will come back right at you.  So if you pass on kindness you shall get kindness back, if you pass on ignorance or dislike you will get that back, well if you can get all the love back by giving a little, who would settle hatred?

Let’s start spreading kindness and love with our very owns this time. In this century when the whole world is in our little palms, what we are leaving behind are the people who brought us  into this world. The whole parade of people just thinking about “me, me, me”, they forgot about the “us” they are doing all for. When the whole world is running on IQ, this is the most important time to bring out the EQ in us as our bonds with the people we who define us is getting weaker with time. Love is not love till you give it away, if you love your family and friends, show them a little bit from now on, talk to them about how they have been, help them in big or small ways, treat them with care and maybe even cook them something, share smiles, be kind and believe me you will be the happiest ever as Morgan Freeman said once, “how do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time”.

Spread the magic of your kindness!!!!
